LobsterTunes needs to install programs and configuration files to your Mobile Device. In order to do this, we need to first install the appropriate connectivity software on your desktop. If you are on a Windows XP desktop, you will need ActiveSync installed. If you are on Windows Vista, you will need to install Windows Mobile Device Center.

Installation of this prerequisite needs to be completed before you run the LobsterTunes installer. Please perform the following steps for your appropriate system:

Windows XP users:
1. Quit the current LobsterTunes installer by clicking [Cancel]

2. Go to the following Microsoft site to download the installer for ActiveSync v4.5 (or later): http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/activesync/default.mspx [^]

3. Follow the instructions on the website for downloading and installing ActiveSync. (Please note that after it is installed it may require you to reboot your machine.)

4. When ActiveSync installation is complete, please rerun the LobsterTunes desktop installer by double-clicking on the 'lobsterrelease.exe' file.

Microsoft Vista users:
1. Quit the current LobsterTunes installer by clicking [Cancel]

2. Go to the following Microsoft site to download the installer for the Windows Mobile Device Center software: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/devicecenter.mspx [^]

3. Follow the instructions on the website for downloading and installing Windows Mobile Device Center. (Please note that after it is installed it may require you to reboot your machine.)

4. When the Windows Mobile Device Center installation is complete, please rerun the LobsterTunes desktop installer by double-clicking on the 'lobsterrelease.exe' file.
